Yesterday and today my son (Marketing & Sales intern at ViNotion BV) and I visited Intertraffic Amsterdam: the fair for innovative mobility professionals. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management will present a large number of interactive sessions and workshops here. The focus is on tackling mobility issues in relation to contemporary urban problems such as: increasing urbanization and impact on available space, safety, climate change and quality of life. The value of data, digitization and the practical application of technological innovations are paving the way to smart cities that are continuously developing.
Over the past few days, ViNotion has gained new insights and attended interesting sessions.
For example, Johan van Eyk gave a workshop on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management about the Digital road manager: traffic management in the Google era. At stand number 01.364 (Jim Muijen) we enjoyed an interesting smart lighting case by Heijmans in collaboration with Signify and the Municipality of Eindhoven. They have fitted the ‘Tegenbosch’ bicycle bridge over the A2/N2 with smart, dynamic lighting to make cycling even safer and more pleasant there.
Also curious? The fair will last until tomorrow 1 April and will take place in the RAI Amsterdam.
